NEW 101KM ROAD PROJECTS: HOW H.E. AIYEDATIWA TURNS ONDO INTO AN INFRASTRUCTURAL HUB ~ BICC



The Bobagunwa Independent Campaign Council (BICC) applauds Executive Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for the bold infrastructural strides that continue to redefine the physical and economic landscape of the Sunshine State.

Speaking through the DG, Dr. AKEREDOLU O. N., “we commend the approval of 101.036 kilometres of road construction and rehabilitation projects alongside significant upgrades of critical government facilities and public infrastructure. This is another undeniable testament to Governor Aiyedatiwa’s commitment to inclusive growth and sustainable development through well-targeted investments.”

These new projects, as approved by the Ondo State Executive Council, spread across urban and rural communities—demonstrating a sincere resolve to erase infrastructural backwardness and open up communities for prosperity, commerce and ease of movement. Roads such as Akure–Ijare, Omotosho–Igbotako–Iju-Odo, College Road–Irewole in Igbokoda, improving network around Alagbaka and Danjuma–Bolajoko axis in Akure, among many others, will breathe fresh economic life into their respective corridors.

The resumption of major dualisation works and road expansions in strategic locations in Akure underscores the Governor’s vision of building a mega capital city befitting of the state’s commercial and administrative importance.

Beyond roads, the approval of new accommodation blocks for corps members at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ikare, and the renovation of key government ministries and agencies further reflects a people-centered governance outlook — investing in human capital comfort, institutional efficiency and security.

It is clear that Governor Aiyedatiwa is not only completing inherited projects; he is initiating transformative infrastructure that will anchor Ondo State’s competitiveness in years ahead. This is infrastructure with PURPOSE — designed to connect opportunities, expand productivity, and ensure every locality feels the impact of governance.

BICC celebrates this forward-thinking leadership and reaffirms its commitment to mobilizing massive grassroots support so that this progressive governance continues and translates into unprecedented electoral victory for the APC and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR in 2027.

Dr. Olusegun Victor Ategbole, Chairman of the Ondo State Hospitals Management Board (HMB), has concluded an intensive inspection tour of hospitals in the Northern Senatorial District.  The tour covered Oba Israel Adeusi General Hospital in Ifon, General Hospital Idoani, and General Hospital Owo.
