AKOKO SOUTHWEST AND SOUTHEAST'S REP IN 2027 HOPEFULLY, DR ATEGBOLE TOURED ONDO NORTH HOSPITALS

Dr. Olusegun Victor Ategbole, Chairman of the Ondo State Hospitals Management Board (HMB), has concluded an intensive inspection tour of hospitals in the Northern Senatorial District. 

The tour covered Oba Israel Adeusi General Hospital in Ifon, General Hospital Idoani, and General Hospital Owo.

During the visit to Ifon General Hospital, Dr. Ategbole, alongside the Board members, Pharm.Taiwo Adefurin , Dr Taiwo Wilson and Nurse Arinola Adamolekun, as well as the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Adiji Ayodele Ojo, actively participated in treating an emergency case. 

This hands-on approach demonstrates the HMB Chairman's commitment to practical healthcare delivery and his willingness to engage with hospital staff and patients directly.

The HMB Chairman equally paid a courtesy visit to the Alani of Idoani, Oba General Olufemi Olutoye in his palace, where he discussed healthcare patronage and sustainability with the monarch's representatives. 

Dr. Ategbole assured the community that their hospital would receive the necessary attention to meet modern healthcare standards, as he encouraged residents to patronize the hospital, emphasizing the importance of community support for sustaining quality healthcare services.

The inspection team assessed the hospitals' infrastructure, service capacity, and patient care standards. 

The evaluation aimed to identify areas for improvement and inform upcoming reforms in infrastructure upgrades, staffing, and service delivery improvements.

Dr. Ategbole promised to implement reforms and upgrades across all state-owned hospitals. 

He described the engagements during the inspection tour as "highly productive" and assured that the insights gathered would directly inform policy decisions. 

The HMB Chairman's commitment to enhancing healthcare delivery in Ondo State is evident in his efforts to ensure that hospitals meet international standards.

In all the hospital visited, Dr. Ategbole reaffirmed Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa's commitment to providing modern, efficient, accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare across the state. 

The inspection tour marks a significant step towards achieving this goal, and the HMB Chairman's efforts are expected to have a positive impact on healthcare delivery in Ondo State.

The completion of the inspection tour in the Northern Senatorial District is a milestone in the HMB Chairman's comprehensive assessment of healthcare facilities across the state. 

With the insights gathered, Dr. Ategbole and his team are poised to drive meaningful reforms and improvements in Ondo State's healthcare sector.
