Akure, Ondo State – The Bobagunwa Independent Campaign Council applauds the bold and compassionate action taken by His Excellency, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, Governor of Ondo State, in approving the payment of multiple months’ salary arrears for staff of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo (RUGIPO). Reports confirm that the backlog of salary obligations inherited by the institution has been decisively addressed under the Governor’s special intervention.

This intervention marks a pivotal moment in restoring dignity and welfare to the workforce of the Polytechnic. The move also signals a renewed commitment to the broader developmental agenda of the administration—one that values the welfare of workers, strengthens tertiary institutions, and affirms that no civil service in Ondo State will endure undue neglect.

The Campaign Council recognizes:

* The Governor’s prompt response in clearing the salary backlog, thereby relieving financial pressure on the affected staff and their dependents.
