DR. ATEGBOLE SHOWERS ENCOMIUM ON H.E. AIYEDATIWA OVER AMOTEKUN'S NEW BENEFITS



House of Representatives hopeful for Akoko Southeast/Southwest Federal Constituency, Dr. Victor Olusegun Ategbole (Bobagunwa of Oka), has commended the Governor of Ondo State, H.E. Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for his bold and people-centered decision to approve salary increases and insurance packages for officers of the Amotekun Corps.

In a statement released through the DG Bobagunwa Independent Campaign Council (BICC), Dr. Ategbole described the Governor’s action as a mark of visionary leadership and a demonstration of genuine concern for the welfare of security personnel who put their lives on the line daily to protect lives and property across the state.

According to him:
“Governor Aiyedatiwa has once again shown that he is a people’s Governor by prioritizing the welfare of Amotekun officers. By approving salary increases and insurance packages, he has not only boosted the morale of the corps but has also strengthened the security architecture of Ondo State. A motivated security outfit is essential to winning the fight against crime and creating a peaceful environment for growth and development.”

Dr. Ategbole emphasized that the Governor’s gesture reflects a broader vision of strengthening grassroots security while enhancing the well-being of security officers and their families. He also assured the people of Akoko that, if elected in 2027, he would complement the Governor’s initiatives by pushing for federal interventions and support to further secure communities against banditry, kidnapping, and other threats.

The BICC further noted that the people of Ondo State are fortunate to have a Governor whose leadership decisions continue to inspire hope, strengthen institutions, and restore confidence in governance.
