Akoko Southeast/Southwest Deserves Better: Dr. Olusegun Victor Ategbole Declares Readiness to Redefine Representation

The good people of Akoko Southeast and Southwest Federal Constituency can no longer afford to endure another wasted term of voicelessness and absent representation in Abuja. For years, we have watched our constituency reduced to a mere footnote—starved of development, cut off from opportunities, and ignored by those who swore to defend our interests.

The current occupant of our federal seat has failed to bring home meaningful projects, failed to attract investment, failed to influence policies in our favor, and failed to inspire hope in the people. At a time when other constituencies are benefitting from vibrant lawmakers, Akoko Southeast/Southwest has been shortchanged by weak leadership.

But the tide is about to turn.

Chief (Dr.) Olusegun Victor Ategbole (Bobagunwa of Oka)—a man of tested capacity, global exposure, and grassroots commitment—is offering himself to rescue our constituency from this stagnation.

Dr. Ategbole is not another career politician chasing titles. He is a distinguished Consultant Physician, a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (USA), and a transformational leader who has served for over three decades in the United States healthcare system. Today, as Chairman of the Ondo State Hospital Management Board, he has already proven his capacity to revamp institutions, attract resources, and put people first.

Unlike the incumbent, who has little to show for his years in Abuja, Dr. Ategbole has a clear roadmap for the constituency:

* Healthcare that works – leveraging his expertise and global network to upgrade hospitals and attract international health missions to Akoko.
* Education that empowers – scholarships, ICT-driven learning, and mentorship programs for our youths.
* Jobs and opportunities – connecting Akoko to diaspora investors, federal interventions, and global partnerships.
* True representation – a lawmaker who speaks boldly, negotiates strongly, and ensures Akoko never plays second fiddle again.

We cannot continue with shadows when we deserve substance. We cannot settle for mediocrity when competence is within reach. The people of Akoko Southeast/Southwest deserve a representative who will not just sit in Abuja, but one who will bring Abuja—and indeed the world—to Akoko.

That man is Dr. Olusegun Victor Ategbole, the Bobagunwa of Oka.

Dr. Olusegun Victor Ategbole, Chairman of the Ondo State Hospitals Management Board (HMB), has concluded an intensive inspection tour of hospitals in the Northern Senatorial District.  The tour covered Oba Israel Adeusi General Hospital in Ifon, General Hospital Idoani, and General Hospital Owo. After being unjustly denied victory in the primaries, he approached the courts for redress.
