ATEGBOLE PLEDGES PRIORITY ATTENTION TO PERSONS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS IN AKOKO SOUTHEAST/SOUTHWEST : BICC revealed.
The Bobagunwa Independent Campaign Council (BICC) has reiterated that Dr. Olusegun Victor Ategbole, frontline aspirant for the Akoko Southeast/Southwest Federal Constituency seat in 2027, will ensure persons with special needs in the constituency are not left behind in the developmental agenda.
Dr. Ategbole, speaking through his campaign structure, emphasized that caring for people with disabilities is not a matter of choice but a moral and human obligation.
> “It is humane to care for people with special needs in our community. They are not second-class citizens; they are part of us by the simple virtue of being human. In my vision for a new Akoko, they will have equal access to opportunities, empowerment, and government support,” Ategbole reiterated.
He promised targeted interventions including:
* Scholarships and bursaries for students with special needs.
* Skill acquisition and vocational empowerment programs tailored to their abilities.
* Health support schemes, ensuring they receive accessible and affordable medical care.
* Inclusion in constituency projects, giving them a voice and representation in policymaking.
The campaign council stressed that this humane approach differentiates Ategbole from others, as he prioritizes people before politics and compassion before convenience.
Akoko Southeast/Southwest, the statement concluded, will witness a new era of inclusive representation where every citizen, regardless of physical condition, is given the dignity, attention, and opportunity they deserve.
Signed
Dr. Akeredolu O. N.
DG, BICC
